Meet The Team

Founder & Manager
Gemma Fronda
With a background in showjumping and eventing, Gem has always been involved in animal sport. In 2017 she discovered canicross, but following a diagnosis of M.E. later that year, she adapted her path into dryland sled dog sports. Focusing on bikejor and scooterjor allowed her to continue competing while managing her energy levels.
Over the past nine years, the sport has become a central part of her life, leading to national placings and the honour of representing Great Britain on five occasions.
Gem lives with nine dogs—a mix of lurchers, a saluki, a podenco, and three purpose-bred sled dogs—alongside her parents’ dogs, a Bichon x Poodle and a Maltese cross Shih Tzu. Together, they provide the hands-on experience that underpins everything she does.
Due to the limitations of M.E., Gem works primarily behind the scenes, focusing on fun and fitness swims. Her aim is to provide a safe, supportive environment where dogs can build confidence, improve fitness, and enjoy the benefits of water-based exercise.
Gem remains passionate about promoting canine wellbeing and helping dogs lead active, healthy lives.

Hydrotherapist
Lolly
Lolly is a qualified hydrotherapist and laser therapist who is currently working towards her Veterinary Physiotherapy degree at University of Greenwich. Whether supporting recovery from injury or surgery, managing chronic conditions, improving mobility, or promoting general fitness and wellbeing, Lolly is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care.

Hydrotherapist
Kitti
Kitti is a qualified canine hydrotherapist with a background in dog training and clinical behaviour. She holds a BSc in Canine Clinical Behaviour from Chester University and has worked with a selection of dogs with different temperaments, and behavioural challenges. Kitti is passionate about exploring the underlying causes of behaviour, including when potential pain or physical discomfort may be contributing factors.
Outside of work, Kitti is kept company by her 13-year-old Cairn Terrier cross, Roxy. Although she’s becoming a little slower with age, Roxy still has plenty of puppy energy and personality. She shares a close bond with the family cat, Mia, and the two are the best of friends.

Hydrotherapy Assistant
Diane
Di has worked with dogs for over 30 years (no she's not that old, she started young!) in many different settings, kennels, education, walking, training and for the last 12 years in hydrotherapy. She has a level 3 diploma in Animal Care and is a qualified dog trainer.
Alongside hydrotherapy Di also runs her own dog walking and training business Dogs Plus Fun.
Di got into hydrotherapy after seeing how much it helped her own dogs and wanted to help other people achieve good outcomes physically and mentally whilst making sure it is fun for everyone involved.
She has a keen eye for noticing when something is 'off' with the dogs and is often the first to notice problems.
Di shares him home with her 3 dogs, pet rats and a collection of reptiles.
